Chief Technology Officer
Erik has pioneered Active Safety technologies for more than 20 years. In various technical roles at Volvo Cars, he has delivered world-first technology in millions of vehicles. Erik is the brain behind our technology approach for a scalable software stack, by combining the latest in E2E deep learning with safety guardrails built on our safety heritage. Erik is an Adjunct Professor in Mechatronics at Chalmers University of Technology and holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering.

Senior director of Perception and Deep Learning
Erik leads the development of embedded perception and end-to-end driving systems at Zenseact. With a background spanning theory and application, he brings a balanced perspective to AI and its real-world use. He holds a PhD in superstring theory and has spent much of his career in deep learning, in roles such as Technical Expert and Chief Architect. He has shaped Zenseact’s perception stack and, as a speaker, makes complex topics accessible with practical, large-scale AI insights.

As the research lead in deep learning and decentralized learning, Mina understands the critical importance of data.
